The Isle of Iona is a magical place. This year we run a workshop in the barn of Iona hostel for the first time - a comfortable sanctuary on the North end of the island, with spectacular views to Staffa, the Treshnish Isles, and beyond Rum to the Black Cuillins of Skye. Iona is famously a special place, with beautiful beaches and a real vibrant community of people

Getting Here

Iona is a wee bit of a trek, but it’s really worth it. Get the ferry from Oban to Craignure, turn left and keep going! Eventually you’ll get to Fionnphort - where you’ll have to leave your car behind and walk onto the ferry, off the ferry walk north up the island and at the end of the road turn left onto the croft of Lagandorain. Iona Hostel describes itself as high quality budget accommodation. We’ll all be sharing two dorm rooms in the hostel with four beds in each. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfy and the common spaces are welcoming, you’ll feel right at home. We don’t have exclusive use of the hostel so you might have restrain yourself from telling other people how nice a time you are having!
