6th - 13th June - Residential - £1,400 for one person or £1,700 for two
A new course for 2020 - building open Canadian style canoes. Like our kayak courses, this is an all-inclusive week on the croft where we’ll be in the workshop all day building lightweight stitch and glue canoes in plywood and fibreglass. The boat - a Selway Fisher Peterborough - is a beauty of a boat, but light enough to easily move around by yourself.
As these make a great boat for two, we’re offering a two person booking for this week - come with your parent, partner, friend or colleague, and build a boat together for future adventuring. If you want to build the boat solo, that is fine too.
The course fee includes all accommodation and meals for the week as well as all materials for you to take your new canoe home with you. Be sure to bring your roof bars!
The week is hosted by Wild Campers at their base workshop on the Ross of Mull. It’s a stunning spot with views North to the sea and Staffa. The workshop is unheated but in June it’s usually warm and comfortable. Included in the price is all your food and accommodation for the week. We’ll be sharing home cooked meals each night, we can accommodate dietary requirements so just let us know when you book.
We have living space for the week where we can cook and eat meals, however we’ll be sleeping in tents for the week. Participants need to bring tent, sleeping bag and roll mats - if that’s a problem we can arrange to provide any or all of this, just get in touch before booking.
If you’d rather have more luxurious accommodation we can also arrange that with our contacts locally, we’ll do our best to find you something that suits what you’re looking for.
